TAPS Quality Policy 2010-2011

The overriding goal of TAPS employees is to meet Customers' expectations as regards high quality, safety of use and functionality of the seats, chairs and elements of made-up textile upholstery for vehicles and premises in buildings of public use in our offer, and the services performed by us.

Our products are manufactured in a manner enabling supervision over and control of emissions into the natural environment.

We strive for our current and future Customers to associate the logo of our company with involvement, professionalism and extensive experience on the markets of: seats for public transport and furnishing of premises for public use.

Recognising that the high quality of products and a systematic improvement of the company's position on the market are key factors for success and further development, we are aware that achieving these goals is possible only with the active participation and cooperation of all employees.

This is why we expect each of us to take responsibility for supporting the Integrated Management System implemented in our company.

At the same time, the Senior Management of the company undertakes to constantly improve the efficiency of the Quality Management System so that it meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, IRIS rev01, PN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ISO 14001:2005.

The goals of our Quality Policy are achieved through performance of activities which take into account the dynamic changes on the market, as well as the changing requirements regarding norms, standards and legal acts.

The strategic Aims of TAPS Quality Policy include:

  • Building the image of the company as a reliable business partner and qualified supplier of complete products and services
  • Strengthening the company's logo as a guarantee of quality,
  • Optimisation of manufacturing costs through improvement of work organisation and implementing new technologies during the design and production of seats, taking into account the control of the quantity of emitted air pollutants, employing new generations of materials which have high usability and do not  cause additional danger to the natural environment,
  • Ensuring the technical safety of employees, in connection with the duties carried out as regards use of machines and infrastructure,
  • Through the appropriate operation of design and production processes ― guaranteeing by TAPS the durability of products, safety of processes and good usability of the articles offered, manufactured mainly from materials which can be recycled; and not using substances and preparations which are particularly dangerous to the environment.

We achieve these goals through:

  • Involvement of the Senior Management in activities with the goal of raising the quality of the products in our offer,
  • Supporting operations which streamline the project management process; monitoring of implementation costs by persons in charge of projects,
  • Setting goals for all divisions of the company, to be measured and monitored through process indicators,
  • Achieving new qualifications and certificates which meet Customers' expectations in the area of the special processes performed,
  • Ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System; adjusting the system entries to TAPS' current needs and the current requirements of the IRIS standard,
  • Cooperation with Customers to discover their needs and expectations,
  • Monitoring products throughout the whole life cycle and developing laundering and cleaning services ,
  • Developing collaboration with suppliers and business partners, basing on mutual respect of Customer expectations, good business cooperation and trust,
  • Improving internal communications within the Company,
  • Constantly raising employee qualifications and awareness as regards quality and environment-friendliness of products and the technologies used to manufacture them; investing in the professional development of staff,
  • Shaping the conviction that quality and the company's image and brand ― also as regards environmental friendliness of the manufactured products ― are the responsibility of each employee at their workstation and during each contact with a Customer, Supplier and Business Partner,
  • Improvement of the work environment, infrastructure and technologies, also directed at minimising the impact of the products and their manufacture on the surrounding environment.

The projects for the FOTEKO series of seats for mass transport currently being carried out, with a planned completion date in 2010, are a flagship product in completing these aims.
